Café Juanita
Heliotrope was challenged by James Beard Award winning chef Holly Smith to bring the quality of the physical environment up to the level of the food and service for which her restaurant has become famous. Our design solution utilizes the strengths of the existing structure while modifying the overall look and feel – adding a level of elegance to the experience while retaining the warm, residential feel of the original space. Interiors were taken down to the studs and re-built and additions were built to accommodate a new entry, a 40 seat private dining room, new restrooms and an expanded kitchen.
