Paul Kirk
This home was designed by the noted Seattle architect Paul Kirk in the mid-sixties for his brother, who also acted as builder. It was photographed by the famous photographer Julius Shulman and featured on the cover of Living Now magazine. Heliotrope was hired by the new owner to undertake a complete renovation of the home, which had fallen into disrepair. The renovation scope included all new systems, new exterior envelope (windows, doors, cladding and re-built decks), the conversion of an atrium into a formal dining room and a complete re-working of the interior other than the living-room, which was renovated to original condition.
